RISON – The second Food Truck Friday event will take place Friday, July 19, organizers within Rison Shine Community Development and the Pioneer Village have announced.
The event is a joint venture between the two organizations under Kickstart Cleveland County.
Based on the turnout and feedback from the successful June event, organizers have added an additional food truck.
For July, participating food trucks are:
G&T BBQ with brisket, ribs, chicken, nachos, pulled pork, polish sausages, hot dogs, mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and more.
Brothers Food Trailer will offer deep fried lasagna, ravioli, Italian sandwiches and pastas.
Mike’s Rolled Ice Cream will offer a variety of ice cream flavors including strawberry shortcake, caramel cheesecake, fudge brownie, cookies and cream, fruity pebbles, cookie butter, Nutella and peanut butter. They will also have lemonades including blue raspberry, strawberry, cherry, watermelon and of course, regular lemonade.
Live music for July will be provided by Elias Jude Gasaway with Matt Wilkerson.
The Food Truck Friday series will continue on the third Friday each month.
Free Vendor Space
The Rison Farmers Market is also held during the event with free vendor space.
As local crops continue to grow, organizers hope the number of Farmers Market vendors will increase in July and August.
While the Rison Farmers Market was primarily for those selling produce and cottage foods, the Food Truck Friday market will also be open to those selling other products as well.
All vendors will be set up outside, and will need to bring their own table, chairs and canopy, if desired.
For planning purposes, anyone interested in being a vendor for event is encouraged to send an email to risonshines@gmail.com listing their name, contact phone number and description of what they will be offering. (Please note the “s” behind Rison Shine in the email address).
